THE NAZARENE DENOMINATION WAS FOUNDED AND CONTINUES TO BE DRIVEN BY TWO MAIN ASPECTS
(This is the heartbeat of the Church of the Nazarene.)

Holiness
We believe that God has called every human being to know him, to be holy, and to walk in this holiness in such a way that we are “entirely sanctified”. Unfortunately, this term is misunderstood – Based on the theology of John Wesley, (Christian perfection, Perfect love, entire sanctification, etc…) entire sanctification simply means that as a person comes to know Christ and they completely devote themselves to God, the Holy Spirit does such a work inside of the believer’s life that they are no longer “bent” towards sin and selfishness, but now they are “bent” towards righteousness and God.

missions
We believe that God has called the Church to reach out and make Christ-like disciples of every “nation” (ethnic group). The Nazarene Church is in over 160 countries worldwide, including “creative access” countries ( places to where Christianity might be illegal and persecution expected). Our approach is to care for the whole person – Physically, Mentally, Emotionally and Spiritually. When Christ’s love is on display for the lost and lonely and poor and powerless, doors are opened.
our beliefs
As a global community of faith, we are called to take the good news of life in Christ to people everywhere and to spread the message of scriptural holiness.

YCON is Nazarene Safe
All members of the church that work with children and teens complete Naz Safe training and background checks.
Nazarene Safe helps churches create safer ministry environments, policies, and practices to protect minors. Reducing the risk of sexual misconduct requires effective training. The following link is provided to help Nazarene Churches design effective safety systems to keep children safe from sexual abuse.
